Recognition and Rewards- recognition of employees or just simply complimenting them can help boost the employee’s motivation and morale. Drain Flow’s employees might also become more motivated to improve the quality of their service and in doing their work through knowing the rewards that it follows. The firm may give cash rewards and benefits to those employees who have been outstanding in doing their job. The firm may also have an Employee of the Month in recognition to those who have been really giving their all when working. With this, their job satisfaction might increase.

Employee Training and Skills Development- Drain Flow’s employees needs to be trained and exposed on the different sectors of the firm so that they’d be more aware about the different jobs around them and that they can understand the flow of other sectors . Also, through this, confusions would be minimized like for those Order Processors who are sometimes confused who is to do what. Skills development is also important especially for those assistant plumbers, so that through it they can become licensed plumbers. Through training and developing the skills of Drain Flow’s employees, they might become more motivated and confident in doing their job thus experience less emotional labor.

Providing a Positive Workplace Environment- like Lightning Plumber, the firm has to provide a positive workplace so that employees would feel less stressed in doing their respective jobs. Having a more fun and energetic workplace can improve the mood and satisfaction of the employees. They are more relaxed and are more motivated to do their jobs.

Redesigning of Job Designs- one of the main problems of Drain Flow’s employee job dissatisfaction is how each job is designed which causes confusion and problems on all sectors of the firm. Through redesigning job designs, the management can make their service more effective. They can also allow each process like billing to go on smoothly and for employees who already know which is which, they are less confused and more confident in doing their job.

- Recommendations

It is recommended by the researcher that Ms. Lee Rynaldo must take serious actions in improving Drain Flow’s employee job satisfaction regardless of what alternative she chooses. The researcher also recommends that Ms. Lee Rynaldo should keep track of Drain Flow’s employee job satisfaction so that she would know whether there or not there is improvement or the alternative she chose is very effective in improving job satisfaction. It is also recommended that Ms. Lee Rynaldo should do several surveys amongst Drain Flow’s employees on why they are not satisfied with their job and how to improve the areas which they are not satisfied with. Also, the researcher recommends that the firm must look out on the improvement of employee’s job satisfaction and of the customer’s to know which side needs to be improved; whether on the customer’s side or on the employee’s side. Finally, the researcher recommends that Drain Flow must utilize the use of technology (Internet, Mobiles) to further more effectively upgrade its services and reach out to its customers.
