A dozen or so years ago before the Internet became to impact our lives. People communicate by using a landline phone, writing a letter, and a public phone booth to talk with other. I remember when I was young I got a long line at the public phone booth and brought a lot of coins to talk for a long time with someone. Conversely, when the Internet was beginning to gain a foothold in our culture. It also brought the social media come with. Today, social media became a part of our lives and replaced the old communication ways. People receive a content and contact with each other easier than the past. They do not have to wait a long time to get the information. They can get a message less than a minute so, this is the reason why people’s today difference with the past. Social media change us to living in phubbing society because people don’t have an eye contact, don’t get the feeling of each other and say “hi or hello” through the application. Social media also impact to the relationship between the customer and the business. The business needs to use social media to build a relationship with their customers which social media allows customers to respond quickly and take a serious care. Customers can choose contents that they are really interested but different from the past that they cannot do like today. For business, which needs to get in the customer’s heart, they are hard working to provide an interesting content to their customer. Using the social media helps to cope with human behavior that hates to waiting and the slowness of service. In this age, time is important. The company can lose a lot of customers if they response slowly. When customers encounter problems with purchased products. If it is in the past, the customer may be contacted via email, which is sent and then does not know when to reply or will he open it? or do not use the telephone company but we could not find the case to transfer the call to find the answer, no conclusions or even wait too long.

In contrast, when using social media, customers will use the way to write the post to the plate form, the company will answer the customer immediately. The company cannot hide anywhere because everyone can see the way we interact with the customer and the way we answer them. For example, the company cannot hide from negative feedback posted on Facebook page is cable company Xfinity (Beard, R., 2014). In my opinion, social media can be an effective professional tool if the company knows the customer’s insight. Who are they? What are they seeking? What do they want to read? What kind of content can impart to them? If we know all of these and do it at the right time and right customers, I believe that it will be the effective tool for your company.
