- Pros
- Annual raise, good benefits, and great coworkers. Very fun and structured work place. Supervisors are in their position for a reason and don't micromanage
- Cons
- Some employees don't get the recognition they deserve. They have quarterly meetings and often supervisors recognize workers in their department for things that stood out to them. And in a way it makes you want to do everything you can and work harder than anyone else. But it seemed that the same people always got recognized for doing really nothing other than what is expected of them. Always a letdown and frustrating.
- Pros
- Strong Six Sigma culture of continuous improvement
Very team oriented...everyone wants to work together to make the company better
Many long term employees that have had opportunities to do different jobs within the company
- Cons
- Change in management from one generation to the next is resulting in the loss of some very good people
Very little training
Sink or swim culture
- Advice to Management
- Thank you for being so kind to everyone, but some favoritism is still obvious. Frustrating when someone is working their butt off solely to benefit the company and make you proud, and you can't stop talking about the big game or choosing friends for recognitions when others have done more than expected
- Pros
- Strong financial position, some targeted acquisitions, opportunities for advancement if you hustle, good culture in finance and accounting
- Cons
- Indecision about strategy, lack of visibility of senior management, communication issues between senior management and plant managers, risk of lower compensation if you don't do your homework
- Advice to Management
- Identify a strategic focus, communicate it, and go forth. The multi-pronged approach was confusing and

- Pros
- There are plenty of hours available to those who are willing and able to work. There's plenty of work to go around as the company continues to grow. The new management is also very friendly and easy to work with/for
- Cons
- Unfortunately there are usually not enough people on a shift due to people calling out or not coming in. Also there's no one to supervise in the evenings and most employees don't like to work later hours putting more stress Oh they ones that are willing to stay late
- Advice to Management
- I would advise them to develop two shifts and have a supervisor available on both shifts. Also maybe a slight increase for people seeking to work the evening shifts to entice more people to be willing to work late
- Pros
- There are many awesome people who work there. The pay is decent. Nice 401 match. Health benefits are fair. The elimination of the top HR position is promising for the entire company. Hopeful for everyone remaining that a new face will bring a more flexible, progressive and realistic work environment.
- Cons
- No flexibility. Vacation time needs to be revamped. It takes 8 years of service for the third week. Pay increases could be a lot better. No praise given for a job well done. Thank you , good job would motivate many. Who you know will allow more promotions than hard work and dedication.
- Advice to Management
- Continue with eliminations in HR. End that HR "large and in charge" mentality! Now! Exit interviews should be taken seriously, especially when the same problems consistently are spoken of and continue. Hire managers that know or at least are willing to learn how to manage people. Lift the morale by being fair to all employees. HR should be an employee's advocate instead of the enemy. Recognize employees for hard work
