Goal, Objective and Culture
Samsung’s Goal is to develop its talents and technology for creation of greater products and services which can contribute to the society as a whole. Samsung embedded 5 Values in the corporation as having strong values is essential for achieving a good business. Samsung takes into account of these values in its code of conduct and also while in the decision making process. These values are People, Excellence, Change, Integrity and Co- prosperity. As for value of People, it means that Samsung provides vast opportunities for people to show their full potential. On the other hand, Excellence means Samsung encourages employee to work with high passion and devoted in developing best products and services to the market. Change indicates that the world has continuous changes and it is important to keep innovation as a mean for survival. Therefore, Samsung set their sights on the future and anticipating market needs and demands. While Integrity means Samsung have to conduct business in an ethical way which ensure honesty, fairness, respects for all stakeholder and transparency. Lastly, Co-prosperity shows that Samsung is enthusiastic in playing the role as socially and environmental responsible corporate citizen. This is because Samsung believes a business will not able to achieve success without the support of others that is stakeholders. (Samsung, 2015) In addition, Samsung practices the Customer- Centric Cultures that is to provide solution to the customers. For example, Samsung’s system air conditioner solution which can be flexibly adjusted to suit many different operational areas. As using air conditioner in the office could lead to increase in operating cost and business may wish to have a cost reduction for it. Hence, with Samsung’s air conditioner’s system, it provides a great solution to businesses to save a lot of energy as well as money.
