Customer come to Cactus café will enjoy the food and beverage together with their friend and family.

The second core competency is environment. Cactus café is themed with the Cactus. All the items in the café are relating to the cactus, such as food, arts. In Malaysia, that is a lot of theme café, such as anime, pets. Cactus café will be the first theme ‘plants café in Malaysia.

Strategic Assets

In order to attract customer to consume in Cactus café, we have lot of strategic assets to apply in ours business.

• Decoration

Cactus Café will be themed by cactus. We will use the different type’s species of cactus to design the café. These will include food, art, and counter.

• Peripheral products

No only selling the food and beverage, Cactus café provide some peripheral products to customer, example like the tumbler, plate, cactus and more.

• Food and beverage

Cactus café provide western food and beverage by using the concept sharing. The food and beverage design as large size and will serve by using the big plate and cup.

• Activity gathering

Customer can book the Cactus café to do private gathering. Besides that, customer also can play board games with their member or join the public.

Partnership Network

Supplier

One of the main suppliers for our café is supplier of cactus. We will cooperate with “Cactus Point” in Brichang, Cameron Highlands. We not only buy the various cactus plants from the supplier for decoration of the café, but also will cooperate with supplier to sell some miniature cacti to customers in our café.

In addition, we will get our coffee bean and brewing equipment from “Bean Shipper” which located in Kuala Lumpur. “Bean Shipper” is the coffee bean online platform based in Malaysia and provides the service of shipping freshly roasted coffee bean to doorstep. Therefore, we will get fresh coffee bean every day.

Besides that, “MTS Import & Export SdnBhd” which located in Johor will be our suppliers of fresh fruits. They have ten years’ experience on import and export, sourcing and supplying of fruits and vegetables in Malaysia. They will provide us local and foreign fruits, especially dragon fruits. Hence, freshness of our fruits is guaranteed.

Furthermore, one of the suppliers is “Kuala Lumpur Fried Chicken (M) Sdn. Bhd. (KLFC)” that located in Sungai Buloh, Selangor. They are manufacturing the poultry products and processing products and ready-to-eat products. Besides, the company also trades with other products, like seafood and mutton. So that, we will get the ingredients like chicken, fish and etc. from them.

Target Market

The main target of our cafe is family and students. The reason that we focus on family because we found that the parent are willing to spend more money for good dining and services for their children. Parent also spend their money more conservatively because the economic situation is getting bad, so they care for their families is by making sagacious purchase decisions. They prefer a better quality of environment and meals with lower price, this very suitable with our strategy as our main meals is providing in a few person pack package example like Morganfield. So if they came with family, they can having their meals in a cost-effective way. In the mind of parent or even all customers, value is more than price. They pursue a comfortable experience that enjoying the tasty meal with family together as it is priceless for them. This also applied to another target group which is students group.

The other reasons that we target family and students is because the environment of our cactus theme cafe is very comfortable and soft, its fully suitable for a group of people for gathering and enhance the relationship among people. For example, family can having dinner in a cost-effective way and improve their parent-child relationship.

Other than that, our cafe also suitable for a group of friends to gathering, do revision, discuss assignment and so on. Students prefer a cafe as a place to socialize and slacken. They gather at cafe to discuss new ideas, to relax with friends, and to recharge before hitting the books. Apart from this, they also seek for a comfortable café to have a drink and meal to perk up after a busy day, or start each morning with great taste of coffee. So we target on this two groups.

Fulfilment and support

Fulfilment and support is the method that our café’s products and services reach our target customers in terms of the channels and the level of the customer support we will provide. With technology, social media channel has become the best tools in order to reach our target customers. The social media channel that our café is decided to use is Facebook and Instagram. The main reason for us to use this social media is due to there is largest number of the active users is using this social media channels. Not only that, this social media channel is free to create an account. By doing this, we are able to save our promoting cost and understand what are the specific needs and wants of our target customers.

After we created a Facebook page for our café, we will display the photos of our food to be accessible to our customers. This is because photo can tell the tasty story. Customers who are willing to use Facebook check-in when they visit our café will be rewarded with an offer of a free item or 10 percent discount each time the customer checks into our café. By doing this, if a Facebook user sees his friends checking into our café, the chances of the Facebook user to visit our café will increase. As a result, it will increase our café’s reputation. Furthermore, a Facebook user can simply get the necessary information about our café as long as his friend is “connected” to us. By having a Facebook page, public are able to pay close attention to our café on the promotion that we are currently offer by just like our page.
