Furthermore, all HRD managers have to face the challenge of dealing with conflicts between employees. At any point in time employees can have disagreements which could be disruptive to an organization’s culture and work environment. These disagreements could even hinder the organization from reaching their goals. However, there are many ways to solve these conflicts between employees. For example, some HRD managers ask employees to follow a chain of command by going to team leaders/managers before going to HR to keep managers involved in the process and give them the ability to assist in making the situation better (S. Snavely, personal communication, June 1, 2017). However, there are certain situation where it is easier to talk to the employee, identify the issue and develop plan to fix the issue (L. Rivera, personal communication, June 1, 2017).
Human Resources Development is vital to the survival and success of many companies. Steve Wynn, the CEO of Wynn Resorts, said that “Human Resources [Development] isn’t a thing we do, it’s the thing that runs our business” (Top 50 HR Quotes, 2016). Without the correct HRD measures put in place, an organization it is more likely that it will fail and will not be able to compete in its industry. This where the HRD Manager comes into the situation. A HRD Manager has to make sure that they strategies and programs that help the company gain competitive advantage over their competitors. HRD Managers must also has the willingness to invest in team members for the betterment of their organizations (L. Rivera, personal communication, June 1, 2017). Human Resources Development and its professionals are the key to providing competitively superior organization and enhancing an organization’s performance (Werner and DeSimone, p.12, 2012).
