A juvenile offender is another challenge that the criminal justice organization leaders encounter and I would say it's one of the most complicated since it engages in activities that might result in pending court cases which require usage of multiple resources. Many juveniles have drug problems that lead to robbery while the criminal justice organization have to choose punishments for these youths and might sometimes not be a challenge to the juvenile offender. Theses sanctions bring criminals to victimize more innocent citizens since they have not learned anything besides almost getting away with the crime. Proper punishment could help deter other future possible criminals or acts from the same offender avoiding or minimizing him to be recycled back into the system.
Crime victim services often lack at various criminal justice organizations and leaders should change that. The views of how criminal justices organizations operate have been split. There are some who see these groups as helpful and useful, while others who do not believe they do their jobs effectively. Often responding to calls for service after a crime has occurred could account for some both positive and negative speculation. Criminal justice organizations struggle with manpower to create a more proactive approach to crime fighting. Community oriented policing is another force sponge and is often hard for smaller agencies to implement. Both of these formats are conductive for a proactive approach. Getting to the crime scene before it happens and deterring the situation could also contribute to keeping the communities safe while enhancing trust and cooperation between law enforcement and the communities while also impacting the cost of the judicial system bring it down to fewer expenses in the use of resources.
Charges being filed in the court system are seen as a challenge to a part of the criminal justice organization and its leaders. There are also skeptics to the way the judicial system works and how sentences and punishments are given out. Holding criminals accountable for the crimes they commit and ensuring that they show restitution is also a subject of a matter when speaking of challenges for the agencies.
By placing more emphasis on rehab programs, daily support groups, and work placement programs, offenders can overcome their addiction. The United States may not be able to eliminate drugs from entering the country; however, the amount of narcotics entering the country can be significantly reduced. A few ways that can help prevent drug trafficking include increasing the number of border control agents, creating a task force whose top priority is to locate underground tunnels that cartels use for trafficking drugs, and build a wall to divide Mexico and the United States. Many critics will argue that legalizing marijuana can also decrease drug trafficking into the U.S. While other critics argue that even if marijuana is legalized it only creates an opportunity for other drugs such as cocaine, heroin, and prescription drugs to enter the country.
Leadership is an important aspect in criminal justice organizations. Challenges arise on a daily basis. Addressing organizational change including more cooperation between the community and law enforcers, and the institution and advancement of technology in law enforcement, and more training will help alleviate some of the current challenges and help with future challenges.
