Next, I have questions I hope to have answered regarding the views held by Old-Earth Creation scientists. First, I hope to learn how scientists holding this viewpoint has come to the conclusion that the world is in fact as old as they claim. Is there any evidence in which they can present that will show, beyond all reasonable doubt, that the universe and all that is contained within it is as old as they say? I also wish to learn whether or not these scientists have ever been able to empirically prove the existence of macro-evolution. According to our textbook, Foundations of Earth Science, scientists make careful observations, derive initial explanations based on those observations, and then test those observations in the field so that they may be able to form accurate explanations (Lutgens & Tarbuck, 2014, p. 20). What empirical evidence can they present that will show me their viewpoint regarding the development of living organisms and the evolution of such lifeforms as humans is to be believed over that of a Divine Creator? Most importantly, I wish to learn why the secular scientific community, as a whole, seems to be more focused on delivering their viewpoints onto the population, rather than spending much needed resources and time into discovering and interpreting just the facts as they are presented to us, not as they would like for them to be perceived as being.

In order to successfully debate ones position, it is not enough to know just the evidence that supports their viewpoint. A well-informed individual will also acquire as much information as is available to them regarding the viewpoints of those who oppose them. By doing so, one can not only prepare an offense based on facts, but also be able to mount a defense that will not falter due to a lack of evidence. It is only when we equip ourselves with all of the evidence available that we are able to derive conclusions and viewpoints that will stand up to all scrutiny, as well as the test of time. I pray that by the end of this course I will have better prepared myself with all evidence available, so that I might be able to rightfully and successfully debate my viewpoint with all those that disagree with its premise.
