History of Seafood
It has been told that humans have been eating crustaceans ( lobster, crabs, etc. ) from prehistoric times. They know this because there were bones and shells left by early civilizations. People who had lived near the water took advantage of these resources.
FUN FACTS:
Tri Marine International is the largest North American seafood supplier. ($1.3 billion)
Fish should always be cooked at a low to medium temperature.
Get a pot of cold water and put the piece of fish in the water. If the fish floats, it means that it has been caught pretty recently. If the fish sinks, it may not be as fresh as you would like for it to be.
The best way to thaw fish is by using milk. Take frozen fish and place it in milk to allow it to give it a great color and give you a great flavor.
If you are having trouble getting your oysters out you should try to get some club soda and let the oysters soak in it for a few minutes. It can help with the process of getting them out of their shells.
The largest oyster ever caught (on record at least) measured in at 13 inches long and 6 inches wide.
And that is the end of my paper…
Sorry I know it was a bit heavy on the pictures but i just wanted to share my love for food with you. ENJOY !
