What is vegan?, this question is very normal to hear these days, well the answer is that vegan is more tan just the way we feed ourselves, is a philosophy that moves for the respect of animals and opposition to the exploitation of them. Humans tend to use the animal world for our own Benefit, not only in food we wear their skins also, to test treatments or make up productos, this is what veganism is against of.
What is being vegan?, we already know veganism is the opposition of animal suffering so a vegan person has this concept of loving every kind of animal, so vegans dont eat anything that comes from an animal like milk, butter, eggs, honey, even colthes or beauty products. So vegetables are the principal food source of vegans, there is a controversy of this theme because it can be risky not to eat meat and substances that are difficult to find in vegetables, fats, vitamin D, vitamin b12, iron, proteins, calcium. This nutrients can be found in vegetables but in very low amounts and in some cases is nonexistent, if you follow a vegan diet you have to take food supplements.
With the vegan philosophy discard the use of beauty products there are tested with animals, a lot of brands use this method before being marketed so vegans avoid these brands, in those cases is good to be inform about brands that dont use this kind of methods wich nowadays are a lot of brands that are natural and respect the life of animals.
In the case of colthes there ere some fabric like wool, leather or silk that come directly from animals so vegans dont use this type if screens, they use Imitations of these fabrics.
Differences between vegans and vegetarians, a lot of people dont know the differences among these two types of life styles, the truth is that they are diferent but have things in common. Vegetarians dont eat meat, chicken or seafood, but it does not mean they dont consume animal origin products, so the difference lies in avoiding some foods.
Rawvegan this means to consume all the products that vegans do but raw, this stream eats only food in their natural form without being cooked.
The perks of being vegan, the principal Benefit of the vegan diet is the deep respect for animals is also a very healthy diet, is low in fat and cholesterol, vegan diet is very low in fat in fact cholesterol is basically in animal products, it is also rich in fiber, is about a nutrition with a big percent of fiber a component very good for the organism.
The disadvantages of being vegan are, diet low in proteins and nutrients like vitamin b12 and D, is not appropiate for certain stages of life as in childhood, adolescence, pregnancy and old age. These stages have nutritional needs more demanding, eat out of home,
