Introduction

Due to the final assignment from Interculture Comunication lecture ,an interview was carried out and after the datum were organized to evaluate some cultures aspects and compare then with the local country

It was used few tools that were learnt in the classroom with professor Frau Elkman such as, the ice berg theory , the analysis of individual or group thinking , low and high power distance , multi-task or one task oriented ,social or task oriented.

The interview was carried in English and in Germany language and it was very dynamic and it was possible to collect a lot of good information about its culture , building a parameter to compare with other cultures , such as , Germany and Brazilian.

The reason of china as a interviewed country is my deeply interest in china culture ,and its peculiar aspects which are most of the times vey different from occidental cultures and for this reason very interesting.

The analysis were made both in her perspective as well as the common Chinese perspective , In other words , typical problems that Chinese face when they go abroad specially to Germany and examples were given to show how aspects of everyday life influenciate the culture and the other way around.

Constantly in this work , the author try to compare the Chinese Culture with Germany culture ,mostly because the class is in Germany ,even though he belongs to a totally different culture.

The interviewed datum

The interviewed person was Leona . Even though she comes from China , she is been living in Germany for the last 3 years , which has given her a very good basis to be able to compare the similarities and differences between the 2 mentioned countries.

She is currently 26 years old and comes from a ciy call Guangzhou. She was raised by a military father and her mother was a housewife.

According to Leona , the fathers opinion plays a great role in the respective suns and daughts careers , consequently after she graduated from high school , she end up in international business as a major.While she was in the middle of the course, again under big influence of her father she decided to come to Germany as a exchange student for 6 months. However, while she was on her exchange , she got an internship in a Germany company ,and at that point decided to try to study in Germany.

As a result , she is currently studying logistics at the FachHochschule Wurzburg –Schweinfurt .

Adaptation in a foreign country

Sign of weakness

When anyone decided to study in a foreign country , there are several challenges that must be faced such as culture difference ,language problem , distance from the loved ones therefore , a huge necessity to adapt to the new circumstances.

Each person has its own adapt problems, but we can defiantly find a pattern when we analyse from the country perspective because people tend to be very influenciaded by where they live , for example Germanys have similar problems when they decided to live in somewhere else , such as , unpunctually , difficult to have social interaction before work is done

Likewise, the Chinese basically share the same adaption problems. Each one of us when move to a new place , must face a lot of challenges , but those challenges can be smaller when we ask for information or help from someone who had been there already.

However , in the Chinese culture its seeing as a sign of weakness or like someone is not capable of doing something when questions
