Equity strategies
The teacher should offer instructions to the students in a manner geared to oversee the excellence of the students. The instructions should be clear and to the point for the excellence of the class. The instruction should be reasonable making them relevant for the existing problem.
In class, the teacher should set the teaching environment. She should participate fully in the decisions regarding the undertakings of the particular class. She should undertake her responsibility as a teacher and employ the necessary strategies that would bring the students together and align them to their urge for quality education (Wardle, 2013).
The students should be grouped in an equitable way where they may assist each other in the achievement of high potential. They should be grouped in an equitable way despite their performances in class so as to enable them to assist each other in the realization of certain goals in class. The grouping should be done in a manner meant to bring out the excellence of each of them.
The recognition of the students is also highly significant. The recognition may come with the execution of strategies to bring the leadership of the students to hand. The students should be given a responsible to oversee the activities of a class by participating fully in the decisions that are being made in the class. The leadership would have helped the teacher to resolve the issues such as ones being addressed by Bliss.
Culturally relevant strategies
It is evident that students are not satisfied with the manner by which the teacher offers instructions or guides them through their academics. Improper guidance is a culturally relevant pedagogy that is evident among the students. However, the problem can be resolved through consideration of a number of strategies that may bring cultural relevance in the classroom.
The first strategy is to maximize academic performance through relevant instructions. The students should be given the right instructions to enable them handle the various tasks ahead of them and deal with the various problems that may arise from the class setup. The second strategy would be the involvement of the students in the learning process. The teacher should have a direct contact with the students to enable them understand the various issues that relate to their curriculum and why they should adopt the set plans so that they may achieve the learning objectives. Thirdly, interactive and constructivist teaching strategies should be employed. The strategies would be helpful among the students as they would reach their teachers easily at a time when they have a problem that may require the teacher’s attention (Wardle, 2013). The interaction with teachers builds the performance of the students.
