The moral and social principle issues are based on questioning whether a persons actions crate a greater good and if that greater good. The greater good is supposed to benefit all parties involved, not only within a nsociety but also within ones self. Therefore this raises the question what is actually right? What is acceptable or right behavior in one society may not be acceptable or right in another in another. Therefore, it is imariative to find out customs and morals that are acceptable, for example in Muslim countries it is immoral for a woman to leave the house properly covered. In places like Afghanistan there are even moral police that are out making sure people are following their moral customs and, the consequences could result in beatings, stoning and even death. Thus, while people must act in accordance with what is “right” in that’s persons society, they must also act in accordance to what is right within ones self, this can create some internal conflict. However, society does set rules and laws in place that make it easier to know what is right and wrong in society through the political school of thought. This school focuses on what behaviors are and are not acceptable behavior, the reprcussions for bad behavior, and exactly how those laws should be enforced. He idea is to have society living in complete hamony, therefore people must behave in a way that will benefit everyone. For example, it is illegal in Georgia to ride the fast lane uless passing or going faster than traffic. It casues road rage, accidents, and can even make it difficult for emergency vehicles to pass and get through. This may seem like a silly law, but for those that use the fast lane properly find this to be an acceptable law, but for those that ride this lane just to do it may disagree. Unfortuantley, some people may not always agree with the laws issued, but they are necessrry for us to function as a society in peace.
