4 Marketing Strategy and Development. The researchers conducted a survey among 100 selected employed individuals to ask their opinions regarding Zalda Chattel. The researchers came up with a proposed marketing strategy with a lay-out of the marketing mix strategy of the product, segmentation, targeting and positioning strategy and expected sales and profits of Zalda Chattel.

Stage 5 Business Analysis. The researchers developed new insights and understanding of the business performance based on the ideas and concepts generated.

Stage 6 Product Development. Careful study and research were conducted by the proponents for the development of a product that would satisfy the needs of customers. They thought of various designs and chose the best design that would satisfy both the need and personal style of clients specifically office workers.

Stage 7 Test Marketing. The researchers then initiated a prototype development based on the survey as to physically gauge whether the idea is feasible or not.

Stage 8 Commercialization. This is the stage where the researchers will introduce the Zalda Chattel product to the market through posting tarpaulins in different stores/areas where customers usually pass by and through social network websites such as face book, twitter, etc. where complete information about the product is posted.

Conceptual Framework

The study aimed to determine if Zalda Chattel is feasible. It will determine the profile of the respondents is terms of age, gender, civil status, occupation, average monthly income.

The framework of the study would find out the different aspects project that includes market, technical, management, financing and socio economic aspects of the study.

Technical study includes product classification, product specification, process flow chart, process description, shop lay-out. Product costing, operating expenses and cost of goods sold. Market study includes description of the product, comparisons of the product with its competitors, location of manufacturing distribution area, market area, target market, total demand, market share, selling price, sale forecast, marketing strategy, marketing budget and survey data. Management study includes form of business, organizational structure, job description, job specification, business development time frame and pre- operating expenses. Financial study includes total projected cost, income statement, cash flow, balance sheet, break-even point analysis, return of investment and payback period. Socio-economic aspect includes the project’s contribution to the government and society.

Statement of the Problem

This study aims to determine the feasibility of manufacturing Zalda Chattel in Iligan City.

Specifically, this study aims to:

1. Determine the profile of the respondents in terms of

1.1 Gender;

1.2 Age;

1.3 Civil status;

1.4 Occupation; and

1.5 Average family monthly income.

2. Conduct an analysis of manufacturing Zalda Chattel considering the following aspects:

2.1 Technical Study;

2.2 Market Study;

2.3 Management Study; and

2.4 Financial Study.

3. What are the socio-economic aspects that the government and society can benefit from the project?

4. What are the possible conclusion and recommendation that can be drawn out of the study?

Significant of the Study

This proposed project was focused on the advantage and benefit of purchasing the product. Furthermore, it looked into the relevance of the study in the business establishment, consumer, society and environment as well. Thus this proposed project would specify the benefit of the following:

Community. The people of the community will be aware that they can be able to generate income through eco-friendly materials like Zalda Chattel .

Entrepreneurs. This study will guide them to come up with sound business decision based on the result of the study. It will also lead a best opportunity to start a business venture that will surely provide profit. The study will give opportunity to entrepreneurs about business innovations and opportunities by producing products out of native materials.

Future Researchers. They can refer through this study for their future research about producing products out of native materials. And how they can be able to benefit about the product.

Faculty Members. They would be able to share the purpose of this study to students and prospect future researchers that would improve this study in the future. And the one who supervises the research students.

Definition of Terms

The following are the terms that are commonly used in the study. The words or group of words are being defined conceptually and operationally in this study for clearer understanding.

Book shelf. is a shelf on which books can be stored. For the purpose of this study, this refers to the type of product the proponents will produce.

Place. This term refers to the third P in the marketing mix location of the market and means of distribution used in reaching it (Business Dictionary, 2013).For the purpose of this study, this refers to the distribution channel of the product.

Price. This term refers to the second P in the marketing mix it is the quantity of payment or compensation given by one party to another in return for goods or services (Business Dictionary, 2013). For the purpose of this study, this refers to the selling price of the proposed product.

Product. This term refers to the first P in the marketing mix it refers to a good idea, method, information, object or service created as a result of a process and serves a need or satisfies
