2. Assess motivation- It is determined if those who be affected by the change agree or are opposed to it.
3. Assess resources- Determine the motivation level of the external agent being used to develop the change.
4. Make a plan to implement the change- The plan should be very detailed and also include expected timeframes, deadlines, and the responsibilities of all peopled involved.
5. Determine the role of the external agent who developed the change- It is important to ensure that everyone who is a part of change is made aware of the external change agents role will be so that there is no confusion about who does what.
6. Maintaining the change- Everyone involved in the change will continue to communicate with each other and the external change agent to provide updates.
7. Terminate the helping relationship- The external agent is dismissed, changes become permanent by having rules, and policies created that must be followed.
Internal and External Resources Available to Support Change Initiative. The willingness to implement change within an organization requires the use of both internal and external resources. Some internal resources include, outlines of products and services offered to customers, the need for employees to perform their jobs effectively, and incentives for those who complete the training program successfully. Some external resources that could be used includes, motivational speakers who can come in and explain the importance job training, and videos of clients who had received services from Numotion can explain their experience and how Numotion has affected their lives.
Conclusion
Implementing change within an organization at a time when it is desperately needed can be the start of a new beginning. Numotion has been facing so many changes since the merger and at one point or another; the importance of training had been pushed aside to focus on more pressing issues. Employee training is always necessary as it helps organizations to continue to fulfill the needs of both their internal and external customers. It is imperative for Numotion to implement this training program to ensure the continued success of their organization.
