Implicit Bias Test

To round out the course, we had to take an implicit bias test. There were so many to choose from that I didn’t know where to begin; however, I have been going through a tough time personally and professionally, that I came across one that I thought would be beneficial for me. I took the depression implicit associations test. My results suggested that I slightly identify more with being happy than sad. That was surprising. I know I can’t put a lot into tests like that, but it made me feel good to be able to answer questions that I thought would trigger some old feelings. I didn’t even flinch answering them and I’m very grateful for being able to take the test.

Conclusion

With all of the readings, discussion boards, and projects the only scripture that has gotten me through this this class has been, Philippians 4:13, “For I can do everything through Christ, who gives me strength” (New Living Translation). I learned a lot of life and professional lessons from the Developing Your Global Mindset and Strange Virtue books. No matter where I am or who I’m working for, I will always know that I am made in God’s own image and I will stay true to my faith at all times. By knowing that I am made in God’s image, I know I am not to judge others, but help when they are in need. I will continue to have morals and strengthen my knowledge of ethics in all things I do. I was very blessed to be a part of a class with global, complex and diverse thinkers. I’ve learned a lot from such a talented group of students and I hope our paths cross again in our graduate program. I saw Christ in each and every one of my classmates and the instructor as well. I can say again that I am extremely blessed to have been a part of such a wonderful class.
