The sponsor for this project is Group 66’s CEO David Chandler. (CLARIFICATION OF THIS??? And who is david chandler has he done this before?)

2.0  Business Needs

Group 66’s business needs are to hold this festival to expand and promote our brand. In doing so we aim to run a successful music festival and turn a profit. This will assist in the expansion and promotion of our business. (Group 66 could make a profit doing something else why a music festival?)

3.0  Project Description

The music festival “Good Vibes” will be held on the 15th of October 2016 at Melbourne Showground, Epsom road Ascot Vale VIC 3032.

Good Vibes will be a single day festival showcasing some of the world’s greatest artists and local talent from the Hip-Hop, R’N’B and Rap genres.

The festival will aim to host 45,000 festival-goers in a safe, secure, enjoyable environment for all attendees.

4.0  Project

4.1 The deliverables for Good Vibes festival are as follows:

  • A profit return on investment of a minimum 15%
  • Opening of the showgrounds railway station for the entire day of the festival with trains running 20 minutes throughout the day and every 6 minutes for the hour before and after the festival
  • 10 Food truck vans to supply food to festivalgoers
  • Free water for all attendees
  • 3 Liquor licensed bars
  • 3 international artists and 10 local artists
  • Various marketing mediums including social media, newspaper advertising, brochures, posters and billboards.
  • Tickets to be sold via Ticketek in hardcopy and online.
  • Victoria police presence
  • Ambulances on location throughout the day
  • 60 security on site
  • Event to be held at Melbourne Showgrounds
  • Traffic management services on site
  • Public liability insurance, property and equipment insurance, product liability insurance, non-appearance cancellation and abandonment insurance will be provided

4.2 The outputs for Good Vibes festival will include:

  • A boost to Melbourne and Victorian tourism

5.0  Assumptions And Constraints

The assumptions and Constraints in this project are as follows:

  • The weather forecast has predicted a 25 degree sunny day
  • Three international artists have been promised as a deliverable though specifics have not yet been confirmed
  • Public Transport Victoria may not fully comply with service requests for additional buses or other transport services
  • All planning, permits and licensing will be granted
  • Good Vibes cannot guarantee all acts will run exactly to the specified timetable

5.1 Limits for this project are as follows:

  • The Good Vibes music festival will be limited to opening hours on the 15th of October 2016
  • Good Vibes music festival will be limited only to the perimeters of the Melbourne Showgrounds

5.2 Exclusions for this project are as follows:

  • Good Vibes will not be supplying parking at the venue
  • Good Vibes festival reserves the rights to allow persons under the age of 18 or anyone without photo ID into the venue

6.0  Summary Budgets

Group 66 has set a $6.765 million dollar budget for the festival, with an expected net profit of $1.47 million dollars. The budget includes revenue from admission, sponsorship and various funding.

Income revenue will be spent on holding the event, which will include costs of; promotion, artist fees, venue hire, equipment setup, traffic management, insurances, security, light and sound, staff, marketing and general expenses.

The projected participation audience of the event is 45,000 people each paying $90 to attend.
