many people attempted to kill Bin Laden. He was extremely hard to track down. No matter how many people were looking for him, he always found a way to escape and get away and nothing stopped him from continuing with his violent path. He was always planning new attacks on countries, especially the United States. One of his main goals was to assassinate United States President Barack Obama.(CNN Library 1) He also was continuing to stage many more attacks on the U.S. despite the America’s threats against him. (CNN Library 1). During his capture, a computer and many various files were taken. On the computer and within the files it was found that he was planning out numerous large attacks on various countries and was in the process of planning to assassinate President Barack Obama. If he had stayed alive any longer, hundreds of innocent people might currently be dead from a fatal attacks.

Some believe that the assassination of Bin Laden was completely unjust. He was a hero to most Muslim people and they strongly believe that the U.S. severely overstepped their boundaries. The United States was not trying to be cruel and unjust by killing him. He was truly a huge threat to our country and it was clear that he wasn’t slowing down anytime soon as evidence of him continuing to send threats to America. Bin Laden declared to an interviewer in 1998, “I am confident that Muslims will be able to end the legend of the so-called superpower that is America.”(Encyclopedia Britannica 2) His overall goal all along was to take down the United States and to shame our way of lime and he didn’t want to stop until he truly tore us down. No matter how much of a “hero” he was to some people, he was still a danger to the majority of others which is why he needed to be eliminated.

On May 11 our world got much safer and some hatred died. A man who had tried to tear our country and our nation to threads got the punishment he deserved.
