A final group of unlikely heroes is someone who would not be the first person to come to mind when you think of a hero. Who would think that a man with a criminal history could become a hero? 35-year-old Anthony Stinnett with a criminal record himself, he “did not even think twice about helping out a Pasco Sheriff's deputy as he struggled for his life.” (MacVey). This incredible video story was recorded on the Bay News 9 website. The cop was being tackled and choked by a 33-year-old Osvaldo Flores, under arrest for domestic violence. Stinnett did not think when he saw some one that was in serious trouble and just wanted to help. He quickly sprang into action and yanked Flores off the deputy. Flores tried to run away while he was handcuffed. Stinnnett brought down this criminal to the ground and held him there while the deputy waited for back up. Speaking to the media after that, Stinnett took on to his criminal history past, including assault charges; but he hopes this will be a turning point for his life. It is not that Stinnett treasured the act he had to make, it is that the righteous rationale is more important to the potential hero, than discomfort. He could not bear of how it was not to do the courageous act in that situation, despite the fact that he was a criminal just like Flores. This is the type of a hero who has some of the personality faults associated with villains but nonetheless also have the heroic qualities-the most unlikely hero.

A hero does not always have to be a fighter or a good person to fit what a so-called hero is. The world is full of unlikely heroes. Most of these heroes were underestimated because of stereotypes based on their race, calling, education, age, ... or even their personalities. The examples of unlikely hero story above go beyond inspiring us to think outside of the box about heroic deeds.

Extraordinary unlikely heroes do share some traits with the typical hero. They always give their best, regardless of the personal cost. On the other hand, for many unlikely heroes, the aspects of them are unlike any hero with whom the society, in common sense, would expect them to be. There are a group of unlikely heroes, in ways that other heroes are not, where ordinary people deserve credit for their good deeds. Heroes who inspire us can come from so many difference walks of life.
