drinks with empty calories and the US promoting unbalanced foods on tv commercials so the family think it’s ok to eat the food everyday but in reality it’s definitely a huge problem to our health. Two out of three states in

the united states of america have an obesity pace over twenty five percent due to fast food restaurants, technology, and stress .

Obesity due to fast food restaurants. Food eaten away from home has risen. Family and friends of mine normally only eat one meal at home due to the fast paced of their lives. No Time is available to cook healthy nutritious meals at home four times a day. Today fast food portion sizes are much larger than in the past. Researchers believe that people are gaining weight because they don’t know the ideal portion sizes. The normal sizes today are the large cups of sodas, burgers, and fries. Fast food provide unhealthy meals because the choices are high in calories leading to overeating. Advertising are dedicated to promote unhealthy poor nutrient foods and people buy the food just because it taste good. A normal portion size of fries and a burger adds up to one thousand calories without involving the soda. People eat about two and half meals in one serving. This needs to be seriously considered when eating fast food aka poor nutrient foods. The more empty calories foods that are eaten, the more hunger and more weight they gain. Fast food if eaten every day can lead to having serious health conditions like Cardiovascular diseases which in the long run can make life harder and possibly end life. I mean some fast foods are alright like chipotle which provides their customers with healthy options like meats with less fat and more protein. Chipotle still has much sodium in the food that are sold to the customers but it’s much healthier for an individual to eat a bowl which inside it has beans, rice, guacamole and lean meats like chicken, chipotles is much healthier compared to Mcdonald’s burgers which the meats contain too much saturated fat plus adding more fat containing in the mayonnaise. Mcdonalds food burgers and fries have maximum amount of fat and sodium plus carbohydrates but not enough protein. Its funny how mcdonald’s sponsor because the olympian athletes eat it but in reality it’s only healthy to eat it once a week somewhat similar like a cheat meal only eating a hamburger a day and for the remaining meals that are to be eaten throughout the day should be healthy choices of food. America is the richest country in the world and the healthiest country leading in sports, people being physically active but also the country with the most individuals involved in the popular overeating epidemic.

Technology has been a major part these past years for increasing the obesity rate. We all know people love fast food restaurants because the food very good in tasty but not very good nutritionally. According to the National Health & Nutrition examination survey, researchers from stanford University found that from 1994 to 2000, the percentage of sedentary individuals has grown at a rapid pace. Individuals consume more unhealthy fast food and at the same time exercising less leading to obesity. Technology is here to stay because the technology has made the life of an everyday individual easier, for example the technology of cars where we can say that now we don’t have to walk or ride a bike because of the car technology but what can’t be denied is the fact that technology has also made us even more sedentary. Multi tasking taking on duties that we can’t handle has lead to individuals eating a fast food meal on the go. Technology like social media has made individuals lazy, Americans are eating more and moving less. More and more snack eating increases as more time is spent sitting down in front of a screen and not enough time is being spent after work on your free time people would rather sit in front of a screen and be entertained rather than be outside walking around at the park or play with their kids So as more food is eaten and less time spent on daily exercise leads to people developing health issues due to the overweight obesity. Technology is going nowhere because the population loves technology making our everyday lives easier, for example now to interact with an individual overseas you can easily make a phone call rather than take the time to exercise the brain and write a letter. The reason so much people in America are letting down the physical fitness, not meeting the required numbers of daily fitness exercised per week is because the technology like cars and google makes us not walk and get up jump around or walk at least 60 minutes per day. The overweight individuals will need to change the daily activities of driving and sitting down entertained by social media or television. Like seriously instead of watching television it will be a much better choice for your long term health to get up and dance burn some calories from the cheeseburger that was eaten in the morning or afternoon. It’s not difficult to go walk for 60 minutes but individuals are lazy.

Chronic stress the negative stress, distress leads to more eating as the stressors are experienced in the situation occurring Large amounts of eating occurs when individuals are stressed out from the long hours at work or simply a relationship in which both the partners negatively comment on their specific abilities or needs. Stress in an individual’s lives either from too much work or just basically failing a specific task that was important leads to surplus calories due to our body thinking we losing calories but in reality, no calories are actively becoming burned. Eating delicious salty foods from fast food restaurants, lowers the stress an individual is experiencing during their specific stressful moments. In most cases of stress, people tend to find a satisfying pleasure in removing stress as they enjoy the fatty carbohydrates of sugary donuts which really have no nutritional value that can benefit an individual health and body. An individual choosing to head toward the direction of non healthy foods to stop their stress levels leads to a long term risk of high blood pressure and low levels of HDL. Certain stressed out individuals tend to have the bad habit of walking to foods containing lots amount of sodium such as hamburgers as a way to find a away finding a cure to the stress they are experiencing but what they don’t know information about exercising contributing to the cure of stressful environments. Exercising daily or the minimum requirement of 3 days per week leads to the release stress flying away from your life. The technique involves focusing during the particular exercise period in only the gym and not the outside world which helps take your mind away from the stressful problems that are occurring. Downshifting is always an alternative
