After hearing the soft sound of crying from time to time in the house, Mary eventually discovers Colin, the sickly, demanding son of Mr. Craven, who remains secluded in his room and is not expected to live long. Mary tells him about the secret garden, and he becomes determined to see it for himself. She brings Dickon to meet him and they conspire to secretly take Colin to the garden in his wheelchair. Colin immediately begins to transform when he enters it and declares that he will now live forever. Soon he is able to stand and walk. When Collins father returns from his travels, he is surprised to find that the garden has been discovered and is now thriving again and thrilled that his son, whom he has come to regret neglecting all these years, has now been made strong and healthy through his connection with nature and the power of love that comes from the secret garden.
Reaading is boring?
Calling reading boring is like saying the internet contains nothing. Reading itself is not boring, instead a singular book may be. My advice to you would be to not give up on the joys of reading and try different genres of books until you find one you like, and if you don’t like one after the first chapter put it down, go on to the next one, as no one is forcing you to read that specific book. Everybody has different reading tastes just as everybody likes different foods so it doesn’t matter if you don’t enjoy your best friend’s favourite book. Just don’t deduce that reading in general is boring as then you are closing the door on a whole wide world of opportunity, read a different book for half an hour everyday till you find one you like. And I promise you that when you find your book the joy of reading will finally become clear.
