services like public education and medical services" rather than becoming "productive citizens" in the long run who "pay their fair share of taxes". This problem affects the American citizens because they work too hard and they pay a bunch of taxes every year to the government to pay for the health care, public schools, food stamps, housing assistance, etc. At the end, the illegal immigrants get these benefits without paying taxes and this is not fair. In this case, the U.S should help the immigrants to get the citizenship, and make it easier for them because when they become legal, they will pay the taxes.
The United State should be more easier with immigrants issues. The U.S. should make it easier - not harder - to enter the U.S., Obama said: "We shouldn’t be making it harder for the best and the brightest to come here, and create jobs here, and grow our economy here". If illegal immigrants have an easier way to gain their citizenship in the US, it would be of benefit to the nation. With more people working, more people have to pay taxes and contribute to society. Tax payers have to pay for all of the illegal immigrants who are being sent to jail ! This is money that we can save but by just simply giving immigrants a more simply way of becoming a citizen. This is also a human rights issue because it is common knowledge that illegals are abused on a regular basis. They need to make money, but without citizenship they are unable to find jobs where they have rights.
To conclude, my family left Syria and came to the United State because of the war, and they faced more difficulties like language; But illegal immigrants face different issues such as not paying taxes and the U.S should be more easier with them. The goal of this paper has been to provide information about the impact of immigration on American society to better inform the policy discussion about what kind of immigration policy should be adopted in the future.
