Enzo is old.

A figurative statement is when you say something that is not in fact true like when you say his face looks like it has a bunch of tiny volcanoes on it. That’s a figurative statement, because his zits are not tiny volcanoes. An example from the book from page 54 when he said that the mat made a squishy sound. Its figuratif because a mat can’t make sound.

When Enzo was describing the zebra and how he was dancing and how he molested the other toys. As said by the author: “in a twisting, jerky ballet, which culminated with the zebra repeatedly thrusting its gelded groin into the face of an innocent Barbie doll.” That part gets you to imagine the zebra dancing and humping the doll’s face.

What an imagery is when the author is writing he writes it in a way that you can imagine it in your head and see what you are writing like when the zebra is possessed and humpes the doll you can imagine it in your head. That’s what imagery means

The reason why the author chose to have the ending before it started is because its makes it more interesting for the reader to start a book why the main character dying and giving details of how he wants to become human before so you have more knowledge of how he prepared himself without having the author say throughout the book that, that moment in Enzo’s life gave him a lesson to remember when he’s a human. Also i think it makes it more intriguing because you want to know what happened in his life and why he want to be a human

One of the scene where you could feel the atmosphere that the characters could feel was when Denny went to the evil twin’s house after he heard the news of Eve dying.

As described in the book when they arrived at the house they saw a windowless white van with a fleur-de-lis insignia on the driver’s door. When Denny entered the house with trish crying and after a long time, during which Maxwell and Zoe appeared he then ask where is she. While passing Zoe to go see the dead body of Eve he gently touched her head, when he was gone even trish one of the evil twin told maxwell to let Denny have a minute alone. As you can see you can tell that the atmosphere is one that’s depressed and sad

Irony is when one action lead by someone saying thats is the opposite that what should happen like if a cop would get arrested it would be irony because cops are supposed to follow the rules and arrest other people Like in the book when Zoe beats Denny when they were having a race in the little carts. that irony because he’s a semi professional race car driver and a 6 years old girl beat him in a race.

Humour is one’s ability to make people laugh or is able to understand jokes or even just describing a scene in a funny way that make people laugh Like in the book when Enzo is describing how he first met Eve and describe how they going at eachother like they had they had too many clothes between them and how he mounted her and she said the field is fertile and he replied i embrace the fertility and then he plowed her. so humour is kind of like how he describe the scene in a funny way which made me laugh.

Simile is used to compare 2 things like if i said you’re as ugly as a pigs butt, it would be a simile because i compared his face with a pigs but. Like in the book when Enzo says “Denny and I have forged a deep fondness for each other as well as a feeling of trust.

A metaphor is when someone uses a sentence or word to refer or describe something else like in the book when Eve said “The field is fertile.” she referred the field as herself.

i agree because the them is that life is like a racing car. What they mean is that even when things seem to be at there best, anything can happen and turn everything around to the worst. for example this summer i went to Quebec. Almost the same thing happen to me like what happened in the book. this summer when i was in quebec everything was great i was having fun at my cottage and everything seemed great until i learn the horrible news that my mom father had bone cancer and didn’t have much time left. no long after he passed away so I know now that even when things seem like its all great something can just ruin it all and it take a long time to recover from them just like me because it is still affecting me every
