Creative Process
Initially, Mandela opposed cross-racial unity in the fight for peace, freedom, social justice, and against apartheid. However, his political outlook shifted which was influenced through the writings of social thinkers who advocated for the organization across social lines. He was also influenced through the nonviolent movement strategies of Mahatma Gandhi (Morningside, 2013). The Afrikaner-dominated National Party who formally introduced segregation and racial classifications opposed his ideology. He was later sentenced to life in prison but was later released serving 27 years. Mother Teresa on the other hand was influenced through her religious beliefs in her creative process. She believed her calling to serve humanity was a call from God. However, she admitted later in life that one of the obstacles she encountered was not beginning her cause while young. It become stressful as age and sickness caught up with her. The fear of the unknown also derailed her as she admitted later in life. In as much as each of them had a different approach to the creative process, each one of the sought to solve major issues and problems affecting humanity.
Critique of their Ideas
Mother Teresa was often criticized for his opposition to abortion and contraception. This was seen as fundamental rights by her detractors. However, her fundamental belief was that every individual in the world deserved love and care. In as much as she cared for all humanity her belief was also rooted in Christianity. Nelson Mandela is accused of travelling internationally and raising money for armed struggle. This led to the armed wing of the ANC carrying out acts of sabotage aimed at destroying government property. He found guilty of inciting workers’ strikes and conspiracy to overthrow the government. This could have been prevented if he stuck to his principles of non-violent movement. However, this is came about of how white minority rule treated other races
Conclusion
This paper selected two individuals who were famous for their ideas. The paper researched their biographies and information about how their unique thinking contributed to society. The paper further determined what kind of issues or problems their ideas resolved. More so, the paper gave a description of solutions and how their ideas were implemented. Again, the paper analyzed how each thinker’s social, personal, and political environment contributed to creativity. Additionally, the paper revealed each thinker’s creative process, the obstacles encountered, and their comparisons. Finally, the paper analyzed their critique of ideas, and if they could have done things differently, and how it fit in the framework of their fields. Both Mother Teresa were creative thinkers who identified major issues and helped solved major problems of humanity. Although both had different approaches it was all steered towards the good of humanity. Finally, they were both awarded the Nobel Peace Prize for their contributions to Humanity and the world.
