The overall objective is good patient care up to their level of satisfaction, and to attain this quality assurance has to be considered. Forming a Quality Assurance Department can surely solve the quality problem in the hospital but it is time consuming so we can just hire a Quality Assurance Analyst for the mean time depending on the allowable time of preparation before the reaccreditation, it will also be costly compared to the second option. Improving Management System does not guarantee quality improvement but it is time saving and it can implement rules and reward system to motivate employees.
The management must set a goal and that is to give high-quality services to their patients. To fulfill this, we strongly recommend, to the Hospital Staffs to form a Quality Assurance Department as soon as possible for it can set a long term solution to the problems stated.
CONCLUSION
Clearway Hospital experiences increasing number of complaints due to low support service quality. The management and employees are not aware that quality is an important strategy to keep your customers satisfied, as a result they received complaints and the upcoming reaccreditation is at risk.
Through conducted analysis, the problems occurred due to absence of Quality Assurance Team or Department. With this, they can conduct a study or a survey and be able to provide organization-wide systems for quality improvement, such as seminars and trainings to help workers understand what quality is. They can also set a certain professional standard to hire skilled workers and be able to lessen turnover. It will be costly for the hospital but it serves as an assurance that a high quality health care is being maintained, for it can provide necessary solutions and strategy for implementing a certain quality standard.
It’s about time for Clearway Hospital Staffs not to ignore the importance of service quality, and appreciate it not as a burden but as a better opportunity to provide quality health care to their patients.
