The company espoused values are aligned with the enacted values. The employees at American Medical Depot has a written detailed rules and norms that have to follow, 10 minutes daily meeting in each department to break the ice and discuss situations to be solved during the week or address any problem to management. Every Monday there is a management meeting where the managers talk and communicate the different weekly issues of each department. In addition to the daily and weekly manager meeting, there is quarterly meetings company wise to go over the past goals of the company, present situations and the future goals to be addressed.

Conclusion

Corporate cultures are shared beliefs which determine how employees will interact with others. It is a mix of mission, vision, expectations, goals, ethics, values, behavior and environment that every corporation develops from time to time. Organizational culture can have positive or negative aspects and some thrive in an existing environment more than others. To have a healthy culture, employees should be motivated, have satisfied customers, financial goals accomplished, complied with laws and rules, and likewise the company adapts positively to changes in the environment.

The organization of American Medical Depot has a mix of positive and negative culture. The mission statement is what is expected as a medical supply distributor, provide the best quality products and services to customers with the best prices and the best services besides great customer relationship. It has a well-designed modern structure, its vision, values, and ethics are always display on each computer screen. A guideline hardcopy of 80 pages of internal rules and federal regulations is provided to each employee on first day of work. On the other hand, the only negative part to be mentioned is when having employees that do not follow the dress code, some managers seems to support this behavior meanwhile in other departments managers are strict about the dress code.

Overall, the organization of American Medical Depot is one of the top 10 medical supply distributors that maintain excellent customer relationship, comply with government regulations and is a very respectful organization within the industry of medicine and equipment supplies. Where the most important is the customer, caring, learning and saving lives.
