On the hand, Anand wishes or thought of open source software which is a new alternative that has its cons and pros. This software is only considered free/open source. When the software receiver can use it at his/her wish, copy and re-distribute it and later modify it that imposes the distribution of the source code along with the binary virgin on the software.

Looking from the bigger picture, the standard software needs licensing, and thus it’s costly, yet it gives exactly what Anand needs in order to integrate the E-commerce, 9 chains in England, and 2 in Belgium despite the difference in the IT software. On the other hand the open source is less costly and many big and known companies in the Middle East, for example AUB (American University of Beirut); one of the leading universities in the Middle East; uses an open source software for its blackboard. Now the OSS is important since it’s not costly and if there are human resources in the IT department that actually know the language, automation of the software is the case and thus much more efficient and effective regarding the budget and the goal.

As for the customers’ involvement in the stock presence in the E-commerce chamber, an ERP system specifically CRM is important for the customers’ loyalty. And involvement in the stock ratio turnover. According to Ioannis Samoladus, Stamatia bibi, Ioannis stamelos and Georgios L. Bleris from Aristotle University, Informatics department, Compiere [ http://www.compiere.org] is suitable for small/medium organizations offering automation in their accounting, effective inventory, customer management, and web store module helping the companies’/organizational online shop.

Compiere is mostly written in Java containing many codes in PL/SQL. Also Compiere requires oracle database for the database management system because of the imbedded transactions. A big effort is being held to make Compiere an independent database.

Now to evaluate Copmiere as a software the below tables will show an explanatory evaluation, this is according to the logiscope by Telelogic Tau™ which provides tools that perform automatically code average analysis, measurement of the code, and error analysis, logiscope access the software and performs code analysis written in Ada, C++, C & Java which fits Compiere.

According to the case “exploring the quality of free/open source software: a case study on an ERP/CRM system.”

“Table 1: Application Classes Results of the whole code”

“Ioannis Somoladas, Stamatia Bibi, Ioannis Stamalos, and Georges L. Bleris, Aristotle University, 2003”

Therefore the alternatives are 1- Maintainability, 2- Analyzability, 3- Changeability, 4- Stability, 5- Testability.

And according to the table above; Compiere is excellent in analyzability and stability, good in maintainability and testability, however poor in changeability and that is only if the human resources are not familiar with the code Java/SQL.

Introduction

“To unlock performance and create real and suitable value.”(Peter J. Sherma, Business Finance, 2009). Retailers usually face the consumers’ shifts to make a purchase and interact with brands. Retailers’ ultimate aim to provide the customer with flexibility, connectivity, choice and an all-around deal that delivers to all expectations, especially mobiles or any technology due to its rapid and repetitive upgrade and turnover. Retailer’s store is important to customer’s interaction also due to the Globalization and competition, often retailers tend to have an online presence whether E-commerce or just an online site like show room for the products. Not to forget that the suppliers might also have their own stores like Apple and Samsung. Mobiez had bought “Phone RUs” an outlet store to have a strategic forward integration and increase his bargaining power over the customers, and increase his chances to maximize profit, despite the difference in IT soft wares. Nevertheless the E-Commerce idea is a new technological door, which helps Anand even operate in diversification and have a core competency over his competitors.
