With the above documentation we can analyze and make some first assumptions regarding Trump persona. Summarizing, he is currently against abortion and claims that woman should be punished in case they want to perform an abortion. However since the abortion issue is a complex topic it is not sufficient to label Trump as someone that disrespect women as it can work both way. Although he is in favor of introducing Maternity leave in USA which can help women and families with their childcare his inconsistent behavior makes it difficult to understand on which side he is currently on as he attacked a breast feeding mother and he is currently working to repeal ACA which will eliminate the contraception coverage for women.
As a matter of fact he attacked he attacked several times several public figures, either by shaming their behavior or their private life in the case of Arianna Huffington and Hillary Clinton or by attacking their appearance in the case of Carly Fiorina. Several women who participated on his TV Show stated that his behavior was not respectful and they were constantly objectified while on the backstage, also claiming that if it would be under his decision [Trump] people would be picked under a scale of appearance and not skill and knowledge. While it can be interpret as sexist or as an attack to the legal system, Trump made some controversial statement regarding women serving in the army, claiming that women and men should not be put together to avoid sexual harassment. Trump stated this was not to belittle women but rather an attempt to enforce stricter rules and penalties to sexual abusers in the army.
He also published several books with his personal insight regarding his experiences with women, asserting that women are “more aggressive” and that “looks matter more than talent”, during a talk with Billy Bush he expressed to “Grab them by the p---y”.
We would consider at first that from a personal view, or from an opinion view that he is being sexist either because we do not support him and we hold a distrust or anger toward him and can lead us to a negative bias or judgement , our opinion in this context could be easily challenged and disproved if facts are provided, which in this case will prove the other way around.
Having into account all these past declarations and actions from his side we could say that it could be a matter of fact that he does not respect women, and certainly he is not the one that respects women above everyone else, as there is plenty of material that proves his disregard towards woman either because of ignorance, misogyny or superficiality.
