statement makes it clear that it is difficult to properly handle sexual harassment in the courtroom. In addition, the research that does exist focuses primarily on the victims and leaves out the harassers (Richman).

Sexual harassment is a topic that has been universally tabooed. In addition, we are taught to regard sexual harassment as much less serious than it is (Tindigarukayo). As Yzurdiaga put it, “Girls are taught that sexual harassment is simply a part of life, an unavoidable result of being female.” She goes on to claim that sexual harassment is a problem because our society denies that it is a problem (Yzurdiaga). This is the basis of my plan to eradicate sexual harassment completely.
I believe that the way to end sexual harassment is to talk about it. After all, publicity has already worked to help decrease sexual harassment in Australia (Coopes). If influential media, like popular television shows, spoke out about sexual harassment, the message would quickly reach across the country and even around the world.
Another way to end sexual harassment is to teach future generations that it is wrong. Children grow up modeling themselves after their parents or mentors (Tindigarukayo). If those adults displayed that sexual harassment is immoral and unacceptable, then many of those children would not grow up to be harassers. I will be one of those positive role models to my children by being vocal when I see sexual harassment. If enough others do the same, then the next generation could potentially be free from sexual harassment.
