Funding/Staffing:

Heartlands Resource Centre is government funded organisation. It is free for service users to join and use. However, all funds are covered and paid for by the government in order to keep the organisation successful and running. There is a number of staff working there, which includes: 1 actual manager, 2 assistant managers, 10 key workers, 3 drivers, 3 cooks and 1 cleaner.

Wider National Picture:

In the long run, this organisation wishes to become bigger and more known. Due to their location, for the time being, they are not recognised as much as they wish to be recognised. However, due to their large number of service users, they are becoming more and more popular. Also, due to their outstanding services provided, more people are acknowledging this organisation and are willing to join them. This organisation wants to put the point across that all humans are the same no matter what kind of disability they may suffer from, and that they are no different to any other human. They strongly promote independence and wish to continue promoting independence in order to grow as an organisation.

Government Initiatives and Agendas:

The government initiative involved with HRC is the Care Quality Commission. The CQC ensure that all service users receive the right support and service they are entitled to. Also, the CQC ensure that all service users are taken care of at all times, and that they are not lacking any support and care whatsoever.
