Abortion Controversy

Knowing the facts of when a life begins makes abortion an un-ethical choice. We as human beings protest violence in many cities; it is protested on the news and on social media. Yet some of the same people that protest this violence assume that abortion is not murder. To me this is an oxymoron. Abortion pushes people to extremes to defend their opinion. Given the knowledge of the scientific definitions and proof of the embryo being a human being from the moment fertilization, many will deny it simply because they intend to defend their own opinion. As more and more studies are being documented on the effects of abortion more and more people are seeing the negative effects. Abortion is clearly different from many controversial issues on debate today because millions of people, women, men, children, and the families of women that have had an abortion, are learning and coping with the effects of this un-ethical choice. “Changing hearts and minds” is a quote that Schwarwalder stated was a cliché, and sadly it is true, you cannot make a person change their views however you can give them the facts and the knowledge that may help them understand the impact of abortion.
