I can relate this as I was under excess stress when I started getting symptoms of PCOS as that may be the probable reason of my PCOS.

Other hormonal changes which are described in the article is Postpartum depression which affects the mental health of women due to physiological changes and fluctuation of hormones. Not all females can have same symptoms it varies in every individual.

Another factor described here is Trauma which is the commonest possibility in derangement of mental health. Traumatic Incidents like rape, sexual assault, and domestic violence are commonly faced by women and are great risk factors for mental issues especially developing post-traumatic

stress disorder due to improper care or harsh reactions from people. Women mostly express the emotions so they are more likely to receive proper mental care than men because men consider expressing emotional challenge as weakness which deprives them of proper mental care. So most of the time men remain undiagnosed or even when they express the symptoms it is less likely to consider them as depressed or other mental issues. Because it has been biased always that “men are more strong than females” or As women can be easily emotional or constant complaining sometimes being bias at physician sides can lead to misdiagnosis like depression.

I believe everything starts with thoughts and the way we perceive it. If we are happy everything feels good, If we have a negative flow of thoughts it affects our immune system which then has a bad impact on our physical health.
