According to Kristie, I was doing great for it only being my third day. I was happy I had gotten the swing of things relatively fast. I was making my rounds and checking on all of the patients. Everyone was doing great except for Violet. Violet looked pale and fragile as ever. Her skin looked as if it was almost transparant. I went and got the machine to take her vitals, and it was not reading anything. I figured it was probably broken or the battery was low. I took the machine over to Kristie to see if she could figure it out.

Kristie checked the machine. "Ali, the battery is fully charged, and I had just used this on a patient about 10 minutes ago and it worked fine." she told me. "Then why would it not take room 7's Blood pressure than?" i asked puzzled.

"Room 7?" Kristie questioned.

"Yes, Violet Fergusson, in room 7. it wouldn't read anything on her." I said confidently.

"Why dont you go try again, Ali." She said as she gave me back the machine.

Kristie followed me to Violets room, and she was not there.

"You're just being funny aren't you? Kristie laughed. "You almost scared me"

I looked at her with a worried look on my face trying to figure out what she ment.

"Where did she go? She was just here Kristie, laying in bed, how could she have gotten up and moved that fast? I mean, she practically looked dead." I said frantic.

"Ali, There used to be a Violet that lived in that room but she passed away about a week ago" she said concerned.

"Well are you saying that i saw a ghost? You have to be kidding me. There isn't no such thing." I said.

"Just get back to work and lets move on; There is nothing to worry about." Kristie suggested.
