In this very same stanza appears another main character of the story, her name is [N]oone. As the story continues, we can see that no matter what happens, they still love each other.

“when by now and tree by leaf

she laughed his joy she cried his grief

bird by snow and stir by still

anyone’s any was all to her”(4th stanza)

In the sixth stanza Cummings mentions children again, but this time he is saying that when we get older and retire we have time to rethink our values of life. Now, when the whole life is behind our shoulders we do remember what is really important. In the seventh stanza [A]nyone is dying and after all this time [N]oone still loves him.

“one day anyone died i guess

(and noone stooped to kiss his face)

busy folk buried them side by side

little by little and was by was” (7th stanza)

After reading this stanza we can get a feeling that even after this tragic moment people in the “pretty how town” forgot about it and they continue living their lives. And the same thing happens in a real life as well.

Every time when a poet writes a poem, there is a message decoded in it. E.E. Cummings was not exclusion. From each of his poems the reader can learn something. In the poem “[A]nyone lived in a pretty how town” the author showed us a simple cycle of a life. We all are children at one point, then we become a teenagers, then adults, then seniors and the final stage of life is a death. So let’s do not wait until the last stage of the life to rethink something, to change moral values, let’s do not “waist” our life on the daily routine; we have to learn positive things every day and carry it throughout the life .In case to make the life better, we need to enjoy it today and we need to think about it today, and only then we will be able to change tomorrow.
