calmed him down. Church was his new home according to Andre and found that family was literally all that was needed left to complete his heart and live with happiness. He saw that he could not move on without family and hopefully that is how we all think. Most people can relate to the stories of the Lyon family, by simply seeing how one fights to keep a family strong and united.

The TV show Empire relates to families in a way that fits in our society. Most modern families today are searching for wealth and trying to stay out of poverty, not really paying attention to the actual “family” while doing so. While in the TV show Empire, the Lyon family became rich working themselves out of poverty, by producing music and coming out huge in music records. This shows that one can still work together as a family and come out of the money drought and be stable with what is getting earned. Many children have to live a life without knowing their mother or father just because they were not around. For example, in society a child might have divorced parents and not see mom or dad ever again. In the TV show Empire, Hakeem and Jamal can relate to the many children that lived without a mother, because Cookie, their mother, was in jail for 17 years. However, Hakeem was the one most affected because he never grew up to have a mother figure. We can now see that the characters from TV show Empire really can relate to families in our society, because this sort of media has been said to reflect reality.

In conclusion, the TV show Empire does express how important it is to keep a family strong and healthy. I can also relate to the TV show Empire within my own family and how it has captured my attention to the way family is expressed. For example, in my life my family is everything to me, and I do not know what my life would be like without them. I have grown as a person from what my parents have taught me as a child. As you can see in Empire, the children of the Lyon family also grew from what they learned from their parents. I really enjoyed how creative and thoughtful the sense of family was seen in the show of Empire as mighty and indestructible. Overall, their family bond is as unbreakable as mine, we all stick together.
