According to the UN, 37,000 girls under the age of 18 are married each day. We now have the greatest number of married girls and girls are more at-risk of child marriage than ever before. In some ways, child marriage can be avoided by bring in the girls’ education as a priority. Child marriage is a serious issue that involved the wellbeing and growth of a child. Girls who are victims of child marriage are more likely to face many consequences such as early and high-risk pregnancies, unable to perform safer sexual practices and increase their risk of domestic violence. We can put a full stop to this issue through education. Girls who receive education will more likely focus on their study and have dreams of having their own career in the future. It will encourage them to have a married life only when they are well prepared and thus avoid child marriage. Educated girls tend to marry later, when they think that they are ready to have a commitment in building a family. Therefore, education for girls is important to avoid the child marriage.
As a conclusion, a girl’s education plays an important role in our world. People should put a stop to the ridiculous idea of banning education for girls as they are also worthy for equality in education. In addition, the government should take steps and make a turning point in making sure that everyone including girls deserve education without any discrimination. Hopefully, it will be a new initiative for us to create a better and knowledgeable world in the future.
