Though this particular tackle was a tackle that would soon mean something very special to me for years to come. The referee blows the whistle as I stand over my opponent that I had just hit. My sweat is dripping from my face and onto the ground, it seemed like I had just gotten out of a shower I was so sweaty. I was thinking to myself “ I did it, I made the play”. I feel the mud on my fingertips from when they were place into the moist grass while I was getting into my stance. Then I slowly come back to the large roar of the crowd cheering with excitement. I then look toward the other team with the parents talking to their sons, others being comforted, some being confronted over their play, and children running and laughing. I’m ecstatic with happiness, but I could only think about the running back that I could see from across from me. I was thinking to myself “He’s probably thinking how it was all his fault”. I couldn’t even imagine how I would have felt if I were in his position.
