With the conclusion I tried to bring the reader back to reason for the story and why it was so detrimental to read and understand where these women were coming from. I am not talking about the characters but the two authors. These were women who were being held back by society because they were women. In those times it did not seem to matter how much you accomplished as long as you were of the female sex you were thought of as a lower class citizen. Time and time again women have had to prove themselves to be equal with men and these women did just that.
A lot of the skills I used in the development of the paper I received through the class discussions and reading everybody’s peer reviews of each other. That was a great take away from this and a huge win for me in my writing process development.
Writing my first essay I think went a lot smoother because I was only using the one story, but because of the first essay I was more comfortable with writing period. I took everything that I learned from the first four weeks and used them to include everything new in the second four weeks, to write my second paper. This was a wonderful learning experience and cannot see how I would not be able to use this in all of my future classes. From the note taking and keyword finding all the way to the completion of a full essay. I feel very fortunate to have taken this class and know that what I carry away from it is just the beginning of where I one-day hope to end up.
