The third difference between city residents and country residents is their career. City residents are mainly populated with business oriented workers whose work is primarily in a company and office (desk work). Also, they tend to focus more on higher education as the demands for that living is having higher education which is the culture of that society. They usually work fixed times or by schedules whereby some get the weekend off. On the other hand, country residents are primarily farmers or occupations that relate to agriculture whereby they work mainly with the land and not so much in offices or IT based tasks. Furthermore, the majority does not necessarily have high ‘education’ in terms of the school process but have great knowledge and experience in their fields of work. Also country residents do not have the fixed work hours or schedules because of the great difference between the jobs that they perform as compared to city residents. With the segregation of jobs and job requirements, you would tend to find younger residents in the city than the country because of the high demand for working population who can keep up with the steady increase in technology and education. The older residents would most likely be found in the country where lifestyles are less hectic and less demanding. The younger population are seeking employment and education and therefore drift into the cities where there are greater opportunities to reach their goals.

Although city residents and country residents have similar features, they have many differences such as their lifestyle, living standards and careers whereby one can differentiate between city residents and country residents. The differences between the two lifestyles can be very contrary however this does not account for all members living in the areas. City residents may have similar traits and values as country residents and vice versa which means that they are not always segregated.
