A3 - Comment on the statement “It is as if looking (and spending) a million dollars and settling down with a prince is the best a woman can hope for”.
In text 3, Becky Dickinson presents the view that “It is as if looking (and spending) a million dollars and settling down with a prince is the best a woman can hope for”. I largely agree with this view, because that is a dream – a hope. Every woman has her own dream and needs in life, and of course we tend to seek for the best – as of dreamers. But when do we realize that dreams do not come true in most cases? We are picturing the most beautiful things that we want to happen in our lives, but when it does not happen – we get disappointed, therefore we should be careful how we raise our children based on reality and not on fairy tale stories. Nonetheless, there is no prince available for most of us on the market. A woman could simply answer that a man she loves, could be her prince and was all that she needed to look like a million bucks.

A4 - Is marriage important in today’s society?
Nowadays the globalization and individualism has affected many of us than ever. In case, we have so many choices and decisions that we do not priority marriage as the first thing on our must-list as before. Parents or the society tend to build up a family picture that is the goal. To many of us, having a family could be a burden or standing in our way to become successful, which is one of the reasons why people decide to wait, or in fact that they do not want to get married. Many couples choose to live together, having children and they are as happy as any married couple. The real key behind a marriage is making your family work, through complications and challenges that you will manage any tests in life. People do get married of multiple reasons, but what is most important is why you get married or even better, choosing a partner you can love without signing a marriage settlement for life. Marriage is only a commitment where you are tied to laws and your promise to God. (181 ord)
