What will be allowed? What won’t be allowed?

Fidel Alejandro Castro Ruz was a Cuban politician and revolutionary who had governed the Republic of Cuba as Prime Minister from 1959 to 1976. Then he became President from 1976 to 2008. Fidel Castro was a good man when he was president in Cuba. He had his own system. People considered him as a hero while others considered him as a mess-up. Fidel Castro had first established the first communist state in the Western Hemisphere after leading an overthrow of the military dictatorship of Fulgencio Batista in 1959. He had ruled over Cuba for over 5 decades, until handing off the power to his younger brother Raul in 2008. During that time, Castro’s government was successful in reducing the inability to read or write, stamping out racism, and improving the public health care. But was widely criticized for stifling both economic and political freedoms. Castro’s Cuba also had a highly antagonistic relationship with the United States-mostly notably resulting in the Bay of Pigs invasion. It also resulted in the Cuban Missile Crisis. The two nations had officially standardized relations in July 2015. It ended a trade block that had recently been in place since 1960. It was when the U.S.-owned the businesses in Cuba that were nationalized without the compensation. Castro had recently passed away at the age of 90 on November 25, 2016.

I, Katniss Everdeen, believe that Fidel Castro was a great man. He helped people with both healthcare and food benefits. Most of his people thought of him as a hero. While other thought that Fidel Castro was trying to buy their votes. Fidel Castro helped me learn the true meaning of being a president. I believe that Fidel Castro was trying to make people understand what the United States wasn’t doing. Fidel Castro was making his citizens in Cuba recognize the difference between the U.S. and there. He was showing what we don’t do. When I was there with Fidel Castro before he passed away, he told me many things that he did. He told me how he made his country that way it is today. The United States was trying to take his country away. But Fidel Castro wasn’t going to let us have it. So when I asked Castro what he meant by saving his country, he told me what they have been doing to not only him, but his country and citizens involved, too. I have learned that we shouldn’t take charge of every country and state. We shouldn’t change a country just because they have their country differently. We should compromise with countries and share what we have with other countries in exchange for their supplies. If I ever become president, I would go to all the countries and make amends with them. I would ship some of our supplies to them and have them ship their supplies back to us on the same ship. I would make this world a better place for not only me, but for everyone else living in the Unites States, Canada, and even Mexico. I, Katniss Everdeen, will strive to a better future.
