Event 5: That day Molly has a fall and Tilly hears the bang from outside she rushes in and sees her mother on the floor. Tilly calls Sgt Farrat and Mr Almanac to come up and help but they can’t do anything. Molly then passes away holding Tillys hand. Sgt Farrat organises a funeral and he arranges to keep Molly in the meat fridge until then. At the funeral Sgt Farrat wears a black dress saying he doesn’t care anymore. He then talks about the Dunnage’s unfair life and the horrible treatment from the people of Dungatar. Sgt and Tilly then go back to Tilly’s house and sing songs together and drink. In a moment of rage Tilly flings the records out the window and hits the snooping Beula in the head badly injuring her.

Event 7: Tilly finally gets her revenge. When the town’s people leave for Winyerp for the Macbeth play that is being held there (she also made the costumes for them), she spreads fuel all around her house. She then walks around town setting all the animals free. Sgt Farrat is shocked to see Tilly’s house on top of the hill on fire he runs up but is powerless as the fire brigade is at the play. He watches as the town is set alight. Tilly then gets on a train and watches the smoke billowing from the town she despises. The people at the play have no idea of what’s going on until they get back when everything has been burnt to the ground. At first they are ok because they think they are insured but then remember that their insurance money went towards the costumes that Tilly made for them, leaving them unprotected and distraught.
