2.6 Fit between me and my career

According the four test results, i have some strengths and skills to fit me in my career.

Firstly, I have the strongest preference on Read, Write and Visual in the VARK result. It means that i am good at learning through these learning styles. In banking, there are many documents and graph that i need to read and use. Strongest preference on Read, Write and Visual can help me working in my career effectively.

Secondly, i am reflectors in the Honey and Mumford Learning Style Questionnaire. Reflectors like to think about all the possibility and collect data thoroughly, before doing something (Honey & Mumford, 1992). Moreover, the result of MBTI refers that i like to practical logic, observe and taking responsibility for the action.

The duties of my career are need to analysis the business and provide tailor-made services to the clients. Also, my career mainly need to review product and services to achieve the growth and targets. Analysis information and digital are necessary in my career. The results of LSQ and MBTI fit me with my career.

Lastly, the results of Belbin test refers that i am Shaper. Shaper has the drive and courage to face all the different problems. In banking, the requirement of my career are need efficient and accurate processing the work. Working under pressure is needed. The features of Shaper are suitable and fit between me and my career. Courage can help me to face all the problems and work under pressure effectively.

2.7 Mismatch between me and my career

However, i have some weakness in the four test results that mismatch between me and my career.

Firstly, I have low preference on Aural in the VARK result. It means that i am not good at learning and working through listening. In my career, listening is required in the bank, because you need to listen about the customers need and instruction of the superior. Low preference on Aural may affect my performance in my career. I need to improve these abilities through some activities. That is my mismatch with my career.

Secondly, I have low preference on Pragmatists in the Honey and Mumford learning style questionnaire. Pragmatists like to action first and consider the consequences after the event. It refers that i am skeptical and not ardent about anything new.

It may affect my performance in my career. Banking is very busy and a lot of works For example, you need to ardent to help customer and solve their problems in the bank. Also, you need to work quickly. Low preference on Pragmatists may affect my performance and effectiveness in my career.

Lastly, i got lowest scores on Resource Investigator in the Belbin test. Resource Investigator is extraverted, enthusiastic, and like to communicative (Senaratne & Gunawardane, 2015). That means i am not good at communication skills and extraverted. This is mismatch between me and my career. In the banking, communication skills are important to face your customers, superior and your colleagues. I need to improve my communication skills in my life long learning in my career.

2.8 Life long learning and career development

2.8.1 Life long learning

Life long learning refers that the learning possibilities exist who want to learn in society (Fischer, 2001). Learning is not restricted to the classroom and formal learning. People can learn the knowledge through life, at work, play and home. In the modern knowledge era, life long learning has become an important challenges to the educational systems. It is because the system does not have any educational policies and models to support life-long learning (Klamma & Amine, 2007).

2.8.2 Importance of life long learning

Life long learning is very important in the society. In the knowledge society, formal education can help people to get a specific job to finish some certain task and works. It is no longer enough, because the society and epoch will change. People must learn new knowledge and skills to increase their abilities. It can help them to face the challenges and competition. The changed of economic environment and new technologies affect people are seeking job opportunities within and outside the organization. (Merkac, 2010)

2.8.4 Life long learning plan

I plan some ideas and ways to help me to improve my weakness and my abilities in my future career.

Firstly, I hope that i can increase my communication skills through the training course. I can learn the presentation and communication skills in the short courses, such as face to face communication skills, use of Body Languages, intonation and voice variations, etc. Good presentation and communication skills can help me better to face customers and my colleagues. It can improve the relationship between me and them.

Secondly, i want to increase my Putonghua to face the China's customers. Nowadays, fluent Putonghua skills are
