However in his 2014 book "Crusader or Conspirator: Coalgate and Other Truths", Parakh had held that the Comptroller Auditor General's assessment of a Rs 1.86 crore loss due to opaque coal block allotments was 'rather conservative.' In the chapter 'In defence of CAG: Why the Prime Minister is Wrong', Parakh had questioned the UPA government's attack on the CAG over its report on coal block allotments and also punched holes in Manmohan Singh's statement to Parliament about the Coalgate scam.
The revenue collected the NDA govt (elected on 2014) by auctioning coal blocks then it is observed that the CAG report was really an understatement. Cumulative proceeds from the first two rounds of the ongoing electronic auction of coal blocks are likely to have crossed Rs 2 lakh as on 1oth March, 2015.

The Hue and Cries over Intolerance in India
Tolerance is a parameter to judge the freedom of expression of any country. After the Dadri lynching case a bunch of intellectuals and a section of the media has started crying that Intolerance is growing in India. A bunch of writers have returned their Sahitya Academy award. But logically speaking what is the reference point of judging the ‘growth’? In the other hand govt. statistics shows decline in no. of communal violence related incidents in India. Moreover the selective expression of anguish by many Indian intellectuals is distressing. Looking back, not one artist complained about the extreme intolerance in the Kashmir Valley that drove out thousands of Kashmiri Pandits. Did anyone protest against the desecration of temples in the Valley? Is that less worthy of condemnation than the attack on churches? Congress politicians used these questionable means to garner votes, and Smt. Sonia Gandhi and Shri Manmohan Singh's governments, from 2005 to 2014, took the cake. It took the appeasement of the minorities to incredible heights. Most of the terrorist strikes in India have been at the instance of the IM or SIMI, with technical support from ISI, Pakistan or some other terrorist organizations based in Pakistan. Considering all the facts it is evident that the vocal campaign against the so called Intolerance in India ia a kind of unethical measure taken by the opposition political parties to keep them relevant.:
