Which proposal is better for the community, the actor politician’s, Bebeto’s, or the Misters’?
None of the proposals are optimal, Bebeto’s even though it has a constant revenue which may result convenient, the Misters’ proposal shows and increasing revenue but it doesn´t work under the restriction of maximum capacity of the land to hold 6000 living trees, and the Politician’s proposal shows a decreasing revenue, so apparently the best model will be the Mister’s including the restriction of maximum capacity.
If only 8 out of 10 trees make it to adult size, what would happen to the community? how will be the behavior of the annual cutting and quantity of total trees, if by law they must cut the percentage suggested?
The community will have a decreasing fluctuant utility. The behavior of trees cut and total trees will also decrease every year.
Suggestion of cutting and planting policy, respecting survival rate and capacity of 6000 trees.
With the proposal that respect the cutting policy of 11% per year, considers the survival rate of 80% of the planted trees and the maximum capacity of the land to have 6000 living trees, the utility still seems to decrease each year, therefore it is not an optimal proposal.
Learning Section
So far this has been the most challenging homework, though it has been also the most interesting. We learn how to set restriction and the utility of a conveyor as well as how to apply a leak in the processes. Also, we learned the usage of conditional functions IF,THEN, ELSE.
Despite of the above mentioned, as a team we agreed that the learning we want to keep as the most relevant from this assignment is the systemic logic of thinking that we are developing more every time doing practical exercises.
