Ray Bradbury shows us the expressions of Mildred in the book fahrenheit 451, Mildred is constantly watching TV . When the atomic bomb exploded she was probably back in the apartment still watching TV. Also she always has her earphones in their words “seashells”. We can see the laziness of people so easily today. In school more than half of the kids are always on their phone or are always listening to music using their earphones. What do we do to pass time? We use our phones to text almost constantly, which leads to our ignoring or forgetting the daily responsibilities around us. When we binge watch a whole tv show we can get a sense of emptiness. The examples Ray Bradbury shows is almost spot on example of how we conduct life today. We don’t have horrible memories like mildred and forget the first time we meet someone, but our own social interactions have been dulled by someone taking their phone out and choosing the screen over more intimate personal interactions.

In this book Fahrenheit 451, the author ray bradbury, just throws everything at us pretty much;It first kind of shocks you but then makes you interested in the story. However, if we reflect upon at our society today, we can see the theme Ray Bradbury said fifty years ago. Technology is a big part of our lives, especially in the days we live in right now. As we the years have passed technology gets better and better each year and as we progress that leads us to another thing that we can invent. But in the days we live in today, will books become outdated in the years to come as Ray Bradbury thought?
