Configuration Management and Preventative Maintenance

The key benefits of adopting a routine practice of configurations and preventative maintenance are:

- Increased control with IT asset tracking software

- Enhanced system reliability through more rapid detection and correction of improper configurations that could negatively impact performance

- The ability to define and enforce formal policies and procedures that govern asset identification, status monitoring, and auditing

- Improved IT asset management through the ability to better utilize proactive, preventative, and predictive measures

- Greater agility through more accurate analysis of the impact of potential changes to hardware, software, firmware, documentation, testing procedures, etc.

- Enhanced reconciliation and management of complex system and infrastructures.

It is also believed that in addition to these practices, change, incident, problem, and release management should also be adopted into practice.

Globalization

Companies understand that one size does not fit all when it comes managing your business globally, and they must know what they’re up against. It is important to know that things move at a different pace abroad, and no one market is the same. You must think about everything and rethink what you think you already know. With cultural barriers and regulations, there will always be challenging when trying to globalize your business and expand into other markets. These can be overcome with prior research and market taps.
