The Four Factors in Coventry
In Coventry, there are 45% of mothers who graduated with a bachelor’s degree or higher. The percentage of low-income families is 33%. There are 16 students who are homeless in the district of Coventry. Child enrollment in head start is 29%.
The Results (Coventry)
Coventry is the runner up for the most successful school system. The high school attendance rate in 2015 was 94%, and 14% of students have were absent for more than 18 days. The graduation rate was 91% in 2015 and 4% of students dropped out of the school system before their graduation. The average SAT scores for critical reading was 473, the average in the math portion was 481, and the average in the writing section was 481.
The Four Factors in Providence
In Providence, only 23% of mothers graduated with a bachelor’s degree or higher. The percentage of low-income families is a colossal 79%. There’s a total of 127 homeless children in this district. Lastly, there’s 34% of children enrolled in head start.
The Results (Providence)
The Providence education system ranked last out of the three towns. There was an 86% attendance rate in 2015, and 45% of students were absent 18 or more times. The graduation rate for Providence was 75%, and 11% of student had dropped out. The average SAT critical reading score was 407, the average in math was 406, and the average score in writing was 394.
Conclusion
The data that I’ve collected and analyzed, shows proof that the four influential factors of success I choose to analyze were; percentage of mothers with a bachelor’s degree or higher, low-income rates, # of homeless children, and % of children in head start, did have an influence on the success rates of the students.
