care of the park and keep up with the maintenance but he just wouldn’t talk to me, very rude. I tried this twice with two different gentlemen and had the same results. Again I get it, its cold out and there are days you don’t want to be bothered but this is your job. This is what is putting food on your table and a roof over your help, make the best of it.

Is it handicap accessible? (Wheelchair, walkers, carriages)

It does have handicap parking and slopes in the sidewalks so you can access the sidewalk from the street. Also the walk ways through the trails are well paved and wide enough for wheelchairs and abled bodied individuals to walk.

Are the benches repaired? Do the water fountains work? Is there graffiti?

The benches seemed to be in good condition. They are just wood benches which can be a bit dangerous with splinters but that are only a few benches. Most of them are in pretty good condition. Also have water fountains that work, and no graffiti on the outside of the buildings. There was a little bit in the women’s restrooms but nothing outrageous.

How are the bathrooms?

The women’s bathroom is absolutely disgusting. I went into the ladies room and just walked out. It definitely not being taken care of. There is one sink with only a cold water knob. And all the stalls were dirty with toilet paper on the floor. This was only a first glance from the doorway. I couldn’t take myself further into the restroom because it was that dirty.

Do people feel comfortable there? Is it safe or is there security?

I think it is a comfortable place where people feel safe. I did see some park security there. They wouldn’t answer any of my questions but with the park full of people at the time of my visit no one looked like they were looking over their shoulder to make sure they were safe. I’ve also been to this park at night on my own leisure time for my 11 o’clock at night runs with a friend and we felt fine being there at night. There’s sometimes cops around there area. They have told us that we weren’t really supposed to be there that late but I still went back with my friend and they never bothered to tell us again that we weren’t allowed there.
