The theoretical elements can be seen in the movie as Ethan, the little brother, dying due to Kym’s destructive behavior and Kym’s overall self-destruction as she falls into drugs and depression. The entire family is effected by this element, but cannot reflect upon it because of their unstable minds. The locating of the psychic pain is essential in order to cure people of their inner conflicts.

The last past of the theory are the strategies and techniques used to help clients. This theory is used to diagnose problems and find cures for such problems. The overall strategy is to not reveal to families how dysfunctional they may be, but rather educate and support them toward new and different ways to deal with their chemically unstable lifestyles. Helping guide families in reviewing past behaviors that may have been futile can be counter-productive. Exploring the motivations behind such behaviors is the key of the theory. The psychologist locates the source of the problem, usually in the person’s past, and tries to guide the patient towards self-awareness and understanding what has influenced their behavior. Health can be best described as the Bio-Psycho-Social model. Each of the members of the family suffer from past problems, but cannot realize it, so they continue to harm themselves and the people around them. Their psychological health is diminished, so their biological and social health’s decrease subsequently.

In conclusion, the movie was a depressing and spontaneous bag of horror. Random scenes that seemed to be filler usually became some form of wood for the fire of anxiety. The movie was extremely interesting, but only because of the unusual scenes mixed with such great acting. No person can deny that the movie was original, but the portrayal of the originality was awkward and cringe-filled. People need to reflect upon their past to move towards the future. Never mix psychologically unstable people with weddings, only in movies will the outcome magically appear okay, and even then, no bonds are built or problems solved.
